Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 1 medium zuchini, coarsely grated with the excess liquid squeezed out
  • 1/2 yellow onion, coarsely chopped
  • 2 tbsps ketchup
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 clove of garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1 tsp dried parsley
  • 1 tbsp chopped green onion
  • Hamburger buns
  • Toppings of choice
  • Parchment paper
  • Olive oil
Note: Adding a egg when mixing the ingredients together can help bind everything together.

Method

  1. Combine the first nine ingredients together in a mixing bowl.
  2. Take about a cup and a half of the chicken and vegetable mixture, and form it into a patty using your hands.
Note: Use a small amount of oil on your hands to keep the patties from sticking.
  1. Cover a baking sheet in parchment paper
  2. Place the patties onto the parchment paper
  3. Then place the baking sheet in the fridge for around 15 minutes to allow the patties to firm up.
  4. Drizzle a small amount of olive oil on a frying pan and bring it to a medium heat.
  5. Cook the patties for 4 to 5 minutes before flipping and frying the other side for another 4 to 5 minutes.
  6. Place the burgers on the buns and serve with your toppings.
