Ingredients
- 1 lb ground chicken
- 1 medium zuchini, coarsely grated with the excess liquid squeezed out
- 1/2 yellow onion, coarsely chopped
- 2 tbsps ketchup
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 clove of garlic, minced
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1 tsp dried parsley
- 1 tbsp chopped green onion
- Hamburger buns
- Toppings of choice
- Parchment paper
- Olive oil
Note: Adding a egg when mixing the ingredients together can help bind everything together.
Method
- Combine the first nine ingredients together in a mixing bowl.
- Take about a cup and a half of the chicken and vegetable mixture, and form it into a patty using your hands.
Note: Use a small amount of oil on your hands to keep the patties from sticking.
- Cover a baking sheet in parchment paper
- Place the patties onto the parchment paper
- Then place the baking sheet in the fridge for around 15 minutes to allow the patties to firm up.
- Drizzle a small amount of olive oil on a frying pan and bring it to a medium heat.
- Cook the patties for 4 to 5 minutes before flipping and frying the other side for another 4 to 5 minutes.
- Place the burgers on the buns and serve with your toppings.
